Player Pianos,
88 Note; or Reproducing (Expression) Pianos
Prior to the advent of the electronic piano, we rebuilt or reconditioned hundreds of "old-fashioned," pneumatic (vacuum-driven) player pianos, built from the 1880's to the 1980's. We can analyze and repair these actions, whether the problem is in the striking bellows, the windmotor, the governor or the reroll mechanism or the pump. You will be astonished at how easy your player piano can be to pump - and how good it can sound.
What is a Reproducing Piano?  A Reproducing Piano is a type of player piano which not only contains a perforated record of each note of the performance it plays, but also the accurate record of the volume at which the notes were each played.  Such instruments were less common than ordinary player pianos, but families able to afford them often spent the extra money they cost.
Like player pianos, Reproducing Pianos were manufactured in both upright and grand form.
